{"id":3631,"date":"2017-12-06T23:00:00","date_gmt":"2017-12-06T23:00:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"-0001-11-30T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"-0001-11-29T23:00:00","slug":"lawyers-attorneys-specialized-startup-visa-portugal","status":"publish","type":"publicacion","link":"https:\/\/belzuz.com\/en\/publicacion\/lawyers-attorneys-specialized-startup-visa-portugal\/","title":{"rendered":"Startup Visa"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n\tThis month the <strong><\/strong>\tof Belzuz Abogados, S.L.P. &#8211; Sucursal em Portugal hereby informs you about one of the most innovative programmes for attracting and encouraging investment in Portugal &#8211; the Startup Visa Programme.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Minister for Economy&rsquo;s Office announced the creation of the Startup Visa last 6 November, within the context of the Web Summit 2017 held in Lisbon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Startup Visa measure will allow, from 1 January 2018 onwards, to quickly grant residence visas to third party state entrepreneurs who wish to establish innovative businesses in Portugal provided there is investment and creation of qualified employment,<br \/>\n\tthus allowing these entrepreneurs to create or move their start-ups to Portugal.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To this end, the Government expects these companies to be part of the Startup Portugal network incubators, thus benefiting from incentives and support allocated under the Startup Portugal Programme.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Startup Visa Programme is already considered one of Europe&rsquo;s most innovative programmes to attract and encourage international investment and talent.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Entrepreneurs from third party states may apply via the online platform available from January 2018. Incubators will receive the relevant projects following their evaluation and criteria and the IAPMEI, I.P. &#8211; Ag&ecirc;ncia para a Competitividade [Agency<br \/>\n\tfor Competitiveness and Innovation] will oversee the process.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">International entrepreneurs who wish to have access to the Startup Visa and obtain a residence must prove that:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\">(i) they intend to develop a business activity in the production of goods or provision of innovative services in Portugal, and that to accomplish this they will open or relocate companies and\/or projects focused on technology and knowledge to Portugal,<br \/>\n\taimed at producing and developing innovative products; and<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; padding-left: 30px;\">(ii) that these projects will help boost the creation of qualified employment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It will still be necessary to prove that the company has the potential to achieve, three years after the incubation period, an amount of &euro; 325 000 or an annual turnover above &euro; 500 000.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the statement released by the Minister for Economy&rsquo;s Office, the economic potential and innovative assessment is performed based on several criteria, and based on the degree of innovation, business scalability and market potential,<br \/>\n\tthe management team&rsquo;s capacity, potential for creating qualified employment in Portugal and the applicant&rsquo;s relevance on the team<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The programme will be shortly regulated by Joint Ordinance from the Ministry of Economy and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The <strong style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/strong> of<br \/>\n\tBelzuz Abogados, S.L.P. &#8211; Sucursal em Portugal has qualified professionals to provide legal advice on every aspect of the business to start-ups incorporating incubators of the Startup Portugal network, wishing to benefit from the incentives and support<br \/>\n\tallocated under this programme.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n","protected":false},"featured_media":431,"template":"","categories":[],"area-de-practica":[],"publicaciones":[],"idioma-publicacion":[71],"areas-practica-publicacciones":[],"class_list":["post-3631","publicacion","type-publicacion","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","idioma-publicacion-ingles"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/belzuz.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/publicacion\/3631","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/belzuz.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/publicacion"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/belzuz.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/publicacion"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/belzuz.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/431"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/belzuz.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=3631"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/belzuz.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/categories?post=3631"},{"taxonomy":"area-de-practica","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/belzuz.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/area-de-practica?post=3631"},{"taxonomy":"publicaciones","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/belzuz.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/publicaciones?post=3631"},{"taxonomy":"idioma-publicacion","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/belzuz.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/idioma-publicacion?post=3631"},{"taxonomy":"areas-practica-publicacciones","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/belzuz.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/areas-practica-publicacciones?post=3631"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
