The <\/strong> of Belzuz Abogados S.L.P. – rreviews this month the measures of the new programme start-up Portugal +.<\/p>\n

In 2016, the Ministry of Economics launched the National Strategy for Entrepreneurship, called Programme start-up Portugal, in order to create a national entrepreneurship ecosystem, attract national and foreign investment and promote and accelerate the growth of national start-ups in the foreign market. Various entities take part in this programme, such as IAPMEI, AICEP, Turismo de Portugal, several ministries and universities.<\/p>\n

On July 9th, the re-launch of the Programme start-up Portugal was presented, with the aim of giving new momentum to national entrepreneurship. Five new measures of the 2016 programme are strengthened and twenty new proposals are forwarded, covering three main axes of action: “+ Ecosystem”, “+ Funding” and “+ Internationalisation”.<\/p>\n

Programme Momentum<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/td>\nSupport for finalists and new graduates, beneficiaries of social aid in their higher education, to launch own businesses.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Incubation Valley <\/strong><\/td>\n <\/td>\nSupport for start-ups with less than a year in hiring the services of certified incubators, up to the amount of €7,500.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Pitch Voucher<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/td>\nPassword to access the digital platform “Start Hub”, in which consolidated companies throw challenges for start-ups to provide services.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Training for Entrepreneurs<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/td>\nTraining for entrepreneurs and their collaborators with a 90% share of European funds.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
INOVGOV<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/td>\nPromotion of start-ups with the public sector, facilitating their participation in public procurement and the modernisation of the state.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Open Kitchen Labs<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/td>\nProvision of equipment and facilities of tourism schools to carry out tests of products and services in the area of catering.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Energy Challenge<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/td>\nSupport for technological start-ups to develop innovative projects in the field of energy (such as protection of intellectual property and prototype development) with non-refundable funding per project between €20,000 and €50,000.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

ADNStart-up Line<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/td>\nCreation of a credit line in the maximum amount of €50,000 for start-ups and micro-companies under 4 years and a minimum of 15% of own capital, for operations up to 8 years, with a grace period on capital of up to 24 months.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
KEEP – Key Employee Engagement Program<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/td>\nTax incentive programme for technological companies aged less than 6 years, to retain highly skilled staff, through income tax exemption for workers that own shares in the respective capital, received through salary bonus or purchase.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Impetus \/ Co-funding with incubators \/ accelerators<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/td>\nSupport for acceleration programs and co-funding lines.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Capital + Acceleration<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/td>\nFunding line for capital investment operations with the possibility of reversal in medium and long-term loans, in a fixed repayment scheme.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Funding Technological Projects in Tourism<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/td>\nSupport to the development of technological projects in tourism, including projects in virtual reality, augmented reality and artificial intelligence.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
CALL MVP – Minimum Viable Products<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/td>\nAccess to venture capital investment, between €300,000 and €1 million, to create “Minimum Viable Products” (the simplest version of a product that can be launched) in the areas of Digital and Engineering & Manufacturing.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
+ Internationalisation<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Metro Accelerator for Hospitality Powered by Techstarts<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/td>\nIntensive consultancy programme, joint learning, product testing and mentoring for business development and attraction of investment in the areas of housing and catering, allowing access to services and products of start-ups to more than 500 restaurants and hotels, representing funding of €500,000.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Company Space for Start-ups<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/td>\nCreation of bilingual assistance points (Portuguese and English) and centralized and integrated information for foreign entrepreneurs that wish to settle in Portugal.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
TECH VISA<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/td>\nStreamlining the allocation of residence visas to highly qualified nationals of countries not included in the Schengen area.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Digital Hackathons<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/td>\nDigital marathons in which start-ups must solve technological challenges in trade, tourism and industry sectors.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Centre for Tourism Innovation<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/td>\nCreation of a tourism innovation centre, associated with digital tourism academy (corporate training programme for digital) and an incubator dedicated to the sector.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Think Tank to support the digital single market<\/strong><\/td>\n <\/td>\nCreating a think tank (ideas laboratory) to, in partnership with the main European start-up associations, design and review measures to accelerate the creation of the digital single market.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
