Sonia Lopes Ribeiro has been heading the Labour and Social Security law department since 2015, when she joined Belzuz Abogados, S.L.P.

Her professional activities encompass all matters related to labor law, labor litigation, collective bargaining, and social security law. She has extensive experience in labor restructuring operations such as collective dismissals, redundancies, and layoffs, as well as operations related to the transfer of companies or businesses (including the purchase and sale of assets, transfers, mergers, and acquisitions) and their labor effects.

She regularly advises national and international companies on various labor matters, particularly in defining working conditions, especially remuneration (whether individual or collective), organizing working hours, and establishing flexible contracting models. Her close collaboration with companies’ HR teams and in-depth knowledge of different sectors of activity enable her to provide comprehensive advice on the definition of human resources policies in their various forms.
